News Release
Don't leave home without them ...
March 7, 2007
Planning a winter getaway?
We know you wouldn't go without your knitting. But what, if anything, are you allowed to take on a flight?
The Canadian Air Transport Security Agency checklist indicates that knitting needles are allowed in both carry-on and checked luggage - click this link and scroll down the checklist. They don't distinguish between different types of needles (metal, bamboo, etc.)
The U.S. Transportation Security Administration provides more detail and some considerate tips! Their advice to travelling knitters can be found here. (Thanks for the tip, Katie).
Happy travels, and feel free to send us a postcard!
